Monitoring a publishing job
While a publishing job is executing, you can monitor its progress and effects on server performance in the Publisher window on the computer where the Publisher is running.
The Publisher window shows:
- Left pane: The name of the current publishing job and the process that is currently executing.
- Right pane: The status of the process that is currently executing.
- Errors page: Errors generated by exporting individual documents from the source vault and importing them into the destination repository.
- Status page: The names of the publishing jobs that have executed since the Publisher was started; the number of actions that succeeded, failed, and in total; and the current status of each publishing job.
- Performance page: A pie chart that divides the elapsed time to execute the last publishing job into individual processes. This chart can be useful to identify bottlenecks in Publisher performance.
